Finally Got The Shop Updated

That's right - I finally got the shop updated, so all of the necklaces I've been showcasing here are now available for you to buy. Wear them yourself or give them as a gift! I should hopefully be back to making jewelry or some other form of craftiness next week. (DH had this week off so we have been enjoying some long needed relaxation along with getting some projects around the house completed!)

Next week, I will be updating the shop with some earrings - which will hopefully only take a day. Then I want to work on some new jewelry designs along with some art quilts. Lots of things to get made and posted for all to see, so I should get to work!

Happy Crafting all!

Moon Glow

Moon Glow is one of my favorite necklaces right now. Such a simple, asymmetrical design bringing together white shell beads with tones of yellow that really evoke the feeling of a summer night.

With silver chain and findings, this drop necklace is really elegant in its simplicity, yet very dramatic in appearance. I love when things come together like that!

In Bloom

Spring seems like the best time for this sort of necklace! A lovely little flower in full-hand-painted-bloom on an iridescent shell pendant. I made this necklace in celebration of the flowers that are blooming all around my home.

It's a fairly simple necklace, matching the striking focal pendant with simple silver chain and findings, and faceted yellow glass beads. It is airy and fun and definitely catches people's attention!

Swirling Seas

This piece is named for the subtle turquoise swirling effect in the large clear glass beads. Complimented with cat's eye and resin beads, this necklace evokes the tranquility of a sea side retreat.

I love this necklace! I made two of them and am so tempted to keep one for myself. I'd had the beads for a few years before I figured out how I wanted to combine them. I think it turned out fairly well!

Family Emergencies

Things have been horrendously busy the last few weeks. I didn't realize how far behind I had fallen with the blog. The craft show at the end of April didn't go as well as I had hoped, and I have been working my fingers sore hand-quilting a king-size quilt, which has left me little time for much else.

To make things worse, a very dear Aunt of my DH passed away last week after a long battle with cancer. I didn't know her as well I want to, but I know she will be deeply missed not only in our home and her families' homes, but in the community as well. Her funeral was yesterday so I think things will calm down some now to where I can get back into a normal routine with blogging and crafting. Wish me luck!
